MILESTONE RELEASE of 10 hatchery-bred Tridacna squamosa giant clam individuals conducted yesterday, July 1, 2021 at the outer Malampaya Sound in Taytay, Palawan!
The clams were spawned at the hatchery in August 2018, restocked in a special protection zone in the waters of west Taytay in August 2019 as part of the String-of-Pearls project which involves restocking of heavily-exploited (endangered and locally-extinct) marine shells species such as abalone, topshell and native giant clams.
